The Commons George Street is a premium co-working space in Sydney’s CBD, designed by DesignOffice. Over 5000sqm, the location showcases a range of spaces for collaboration and community across multiple levels.

Private offices and open-plan collaboration zones provide a range of working environments, plus areas for rest and recreation, including a cafe, gym, library, lounge and wellness room.

Creating a calm respite from the hustle and bustle of the CBD, the palette features a warm and timeless palette of materiality. Leather, tinted oak and stone is paired with steel, brass and marble creating a modern, industrial aesthetic.

Sphera supplied a collection of functional and decorative lighting across the space. Cilindretto tubular pendants in black and a custom colour align with the sleek design details found throughout the space. The minimalist form of Europa lends itself to the modern textures and finishes, with its large spherical form resembling a paper lantern. Also featured in the project are O-lamp, Amak Wall and Aplik.
